The Long Beach Marina was protected by a wave attenuator/breakwater constructed out of closely driven precast concrete “Raymond” piles (Photograph Marina_4). These piles are hollow and have pre-stressing tendons holding together concrete sections. Between the piles is a filler piece (Photograph Marina_5).
